Fossiling on the Peace River Ok, so this doesnt have alot to do with much, but Living in Wauchula Florida, one of the most interesting parts of this area is the Peace River. The Peace River is a beautiful slow moving river that goes thru south florida. Its water is crystal clear and the temp. averages around 75 degrees. Whats amazing about this river is the fossils found in it. It is famous for this. Several fossil clubs from major cities come to the PEace river to sift thru its gravel beds in search of Arrow heads, Sharks teeth, fossilized bones and all sorts of stuff. Its a great day trip, and a fun family outing. Anyone interested in a fun time with friends or family should google it and plan on making a trip down the river. Good luck and find a pile of sharks teeth in an inland fresh water river... DS
