Free to Air (FTA) - Free Satellite TV
So... As i sit at my computer, with my TV all dark, I ponder the actual savings of using a FTA satellite receiver. Its times like this that I curse the day my contract expired with a major company And i went the tester route.
But then i realize several things all at once.
1. It gives me time away from the "boob tube".. (usually at an impractical time at the least).
2. It improves my family time since theres "nothing on TV"
3. It allows me to just sit back and surf the net (the nextgen boob tube) and run across sites that normally i would never experience. So, in retrospect, besides saving a pile of money every month, It opens doors that normally would be shut. The point is, Long live FTA. My house is saturated every day with emmissions from birds in the heavens... I didnt ask for it to cross my property lines, and they didnt ask if they could bombard me. Just like solar power, its going to shine on me regardless, so if i buy a solar cell to power my house and take it off the national grid, or a FTA receiver to take it off the corporate grid, its there for the taking.
I suggest you take a look at it yourself and see what your missing (most of the time lol).
